I've implemented ARC for the compressor node, usable for compression or limiting.
You can even tweak the params of ARC to have more control over how it behaves.
The latest version adds a compressor node and added a sample on how to use it, as well as how to use it as a limiter.
I have a couple irons in the fire right now, but I'm thinking I might make a google native client version of sound sorcerer that saves/loads files from your google drive. This way it works on more operating systems and saves your files in the cloud.
I'm also thinking about adding an option to sound sorcerer that lets you export your work as C++ source code with no external depencies. This way, you could prototype something in sound sorcerer, then export it to drop into an FMOD callback, or a VST plugin, or whatever you want.
There's lots of changes I have in mind for some SS things too like adding meters to nodes, having more things work with db instead of volume (or letting you choose which), and letting you make custom nodes by combining other nodes together as submodules.
Time permitting, hopefully I can focus on SS some more than I have been!
Version 1.0 is up now. I added the option for band limited wave forms (they sound sooo much better), and fixed up some things that could cause crashes. Hopefully more features coming soon, I'm trying to get back into the development groove.
Also added something to catch crashes, so if you hit any, toss me an email w/ the details so i can fix em!
Just uploaded an updated version
* Added arpeggiator (could use a couple more features but it's working pretty well)
* Added high pass filter
* protect LPF from divide by zero
* added pre-subtract, pre-divide, clamp above and below, and constant to math node
* made it so noise node takes volume from input (so you can apply envelopes)
* added a "WaveToFrequency" node
* made node connection splines look better when going to the left
I just made a change to the midi node so that it will also accept PC keyboard keystrokes as a note source.
You can change what keys generate what notes, but by default it generates a good spread.
Also there are some new video tutorials up and a crash fix (as seen in tutorial #6 hehe)
Version 0.9 beta is now available on the download page!
All the features for version 1 are in, the program just needs to be vetted and debugged. Features will probably be added and changed in response to bugs and feedback, but what sound sorcerer is now is really close to what it will be at v1.
Feel free to post bugs and feedback to the forums, or send an email to SoundSorcerer@SoundSorcerer.com
Enjoy and don't forget to check out the tutorials!!
Sound Sorcerer 0.8 alpha is now open for use to the general public.
I'm currently dotting some "i"s and crossing some "t"s to get 0.9b out and am hoping to get through this beta period and get to a version 1.0 in a couple of months.
It all depends though of course on feedback from people who use it and how much needs to be fixed or added! (:
